I'M BACK, BITCHES!

OMG! I just bought a new laptop last week, and just tonight, I thought about blogging again, and so here it is.

What has been happening in my life, you ask? Well, first, I got married to the most wonderful man. He is amazing! Second, I have been working from home (just like the rest of us) for more than a year now. And speaking of work, that brings me to my third - I resigned from the company I worked for 16 years! Right now, I am on terminal leave. Man... Talk about getting out of my comfort zone, huh! It was the hardest decision of my life. I had to think about it for 6 months!

Oh, aside from that, I've also gained all the weight I lost during my wedding (plus more), and I honestly don't know if I still have the energy to lose them again. I realize I am okay being fat. It's just unhealthy. But yeah, this is me now!

...and that's my husband! Later!

Baguio

**warning: LONG POST**
This trip was almost 3 years ago. It was supposed to be our 2nd anniversary (September) trip but a lot of great opportunities came that time. We had to reschedule to December, which was great because there were Christmas lights everywhere and the hotel we stayed in had the best decoration I have ever seen.

We arrived around 4:30 AM and yes, it's so cold! We took the 10 PM bus from Manila. It was an 8-hr ride but the bus' seats were very comfortable so we slept the entire trip. It saved us an overnight stay at a hotel.

We opted to ride a Jeep or walk when we went around the city and it was super fun! It also saved us a lot of money. We also used online maps to guide us. I'd advise you guys to do the same. The only time we rode a taxi was when we went to PMA, which was what our hotel's staff advised.

Baguio is like Dumaguete City with many Tagalog people and steep roads! PEOPLE ARE SUPER DUPER NICE! I'd live there if I could..

Here are our pictures:

Burnham Park, around 6 AM.
It was cold but some locals jogged shirtless. The view of the pond was breath taking.

MINES VIEW PARK. Strawberry taho is a must-eat! Another breath taking view.

THE MANSION -  the official summer palace of the President of the Philippines

WRIGHT PARK

BAGUIO BOTANICAL GARDEN

We rented the outfits for only Php 20.

CHOCOLATE DE BATIROL
Located at Camp John Hay, this quaint restaurant makes the best hot chocolate, arguably in the whole Philippines.

CAMP JOHN HAY
It is the city's most popular tourist attraction. It's has a golf course, restaurants, hotels, etc. IT'S HUGE! We hiked our way to our hotel which was tiring but the view was worth every sweat and step.

THE MANOR
Best view, best service, best food

PHILIPPINE MILITARY ACADEMY

VOLANTE'S PIZZA
Always on the Baguio must-try lists. It's a small place but it didn't disappoint. I don't know if they have other branches but this one is just along Session Road.

STEAKS AND TOPPINGS
I didn't like the food but my fiance does so..

CEMETERY OF NEGATIVISM
It was under repair but they let us go near the gravestones. On them were funny epitaphs about negativity.

THE BELL HOUSE
This used to be the vacation house of Major General James Franklin Bell. At the back of it is a garden called the Bell Amphitheater which he designed himself.

THE BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY

THE LION'S HEAD AT KENNON ROAD

OH MY GULAY!
A vegetarian restaurant which has very interesting interior. It's like in a forest! The trip was almost 3 years ago, I'm sure the prices have increased. Food was great though and surprisingly filling.

Food's probably more expensive now..

BAGUIO CATHEDRAL

TEAM LAKAY GYM
This was one of the highlights of our trip! We went there and to our surprise, one of our favorite Filipino MMA fighter, Mr. Edward Folayang was there! He and his wife talked to us like we're old friends. He also let us stay to see him train his students. It was so awesome! He and his wife were very nice and down-to-earth.

These children are lucky!!!

So, that's it! Remembering the whole trip.. IT'S KILIG! After that, we went to Tagaytay and then toured Manila. And I'm going to write about those trips soon!

Until my next blog! xx
