L4, L5

A month ago, around the same time, same Monday morning, I woke up and a nightmare began. I couldn't get up. I felt extreme pain on my lower back. I pretty much have a high pain tolerance (I have tattoos) so by "extreme" I really meant EXTREME! My tears would just fell on their own. I was rushed to the hospital and stayed there for a week. I had to undergo rehab. Oh gosh.. I thought I was going to be on a wheelchair for the rest of my life. Worst, I thought I was going to die, and I didn't (and still don't) want to.

I had Herniated Disc (L4, L5). I admit, while my doctors were explaining their diagnosis, I wasn't listening. Yeah, I'm stupid that way. Tsk. All I cared about was if I can still walk. And yes, on the third day, I was up and walking again, though very slowly. I almost couldn't contain my happiness but I had to because my therapists (Hi Eula! Hi Chubs!) were there, I was shy. Yikes! Haha!

Maybe a little too early for the "in sickness and in health" part of our relationship but this might be a start - my uyab was with me through it all. Thanks Bri! I love you so much! ♥

Naturally, I was advised by my doctors to lose weight as my gaining has A LOT to do with the bulging of my disc. My therapists taught me proper body mechanics - I need to improve my posture. I now have to always sit erect. I can't do running for a while. I have to move "gracefully" which would be very difficult for I am way far from being graceful. Man.. In other words, I HAVE TO CHANGE MY LIFESTYLE!!!

And slowly, I am. For the past month, I already lost 5 lbs. It's a start!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my doctors, nurses, and PTs at Chong Hua Hospital, my friends who texted/called/visited (special thanks to the ff: Therese Marie Cañete, Vanessa Rhea Labesig, Marie Grace Malanog, and my housemate Douey Joy Cagud - Girls, I OWE YOU.), my FAMILY, and my uyab, Briane. Lord, thank You. You truly are the most awesome!

Guys, take care of yourselves. Health is indeed wealth!

What I Wore Last Week (August 26 - September 1)

So, I just came from a quick vacay. And now that I'm back at work, I'm sure you all know how I feel. NOT GREAT. But I am refreshed, de-stressed, and calmed. Oh I had a lot of things in my mind lately, I forgot to bring sunblock lotion. Yeah, things you forget when you're packing hurriedly and when you're pre-occupied. My friend is going to leave today and I am sad. :(

What I Wore Last Week (August 20 - August 25)

Hey you guys! I hope you're all doing great! I know I am!

Well, I 've been on a writer's block. Heck I didn't even submit my "fashion contribution" for our account's online publication. I am in a rut - in a blogger's rut.

My life's been a "series of unfortunate events" lately. Just little, really unimportant things, but still unfortunate - ANNOYING. It started on Sunday morning, when I left my keys at home. It was around 4am, I just came from a night-out. My good friend Douey Joy had to climb up the gate of my pad's building. Between the two of us, he's the lighter one so he had to be the one to climb. Thank goodness I'm fat! Haha! Anyway, it's still going on now. Like tonight, on my way to work, I forgot my shoes. I was just wearing my flipflops and I noticed when I was already half my way. Of course I had to go back home. That's just me. I am one clumsy matter.

I am happy because I already hit 1 million kudos on WIWT. I have 1,035,700 to be exact. I've always been on the Top 5 trending users list eversince so thank you sooo much WIWT fashionistas!!!

What I Wore Last Week (August 5 - August 11)

It was my birthday week! I went to Cagayan de Oro City to be with my family over the weekend and I had a blast. Like really had a blast! I will post pics soon!

Today my stomach contains coffee, coke, sting, samurai, coffee, KFC fully loaded meal, and now another coke. I have midterms this whole week and my most difficult subject's going to be on Friday, which is my vacation leave, thank goodness! Whew! I only had 4 hours to sleep. That's in between exams, outfit shoot, and business meet-ups. I can't wait for this week to be over..

What I Wore Last Week (July 29 - August 4)

Greetings from my cube at work! You guys have no idea how much I ate last weekend. OMG, the rice! I've never told you this but I actually haven't been eating rice. Well maybe once a week and I can't even believe it. I was such a rice eater and I'm just not craving for it anymore. LIFE.IS.GOOD! Ha-ha!

What I Wore Last Week (July 22 - July 28)

I've been thinking of what to write as introduction to this what-i-wore-last-week blog and whenever I start a topic, I can't seem to put words together to make sentences to make paragraph/s! So here are my thoughts:

*I met someone my family will hopefully be in business with and I was in awe. He's someone I aspire to be.

*I lost 10 lbs already! Yup, I just patted myself at the back.. Hahahaha!

*I am envious of KC Conception because she's one of the 8 people TAYLOR HANSON follows in Instagram.
