Sale! Sale!

So guys, or girls, especially those who're size 7-9, Linea Italia SM Cebu Branch (where items are a little pricey and the salesladies are like models!) is having a sale right now! Two days ago, my friend Therese and I were actually suppose to buy phones only (I sooooo love mine, btw) but on our way to the taxi waiting stand, we passed by their boutique and Therese remembered they're having a sale and the rest is history. Ha-ha! And I was very lucky to have found these amazing pairs in my size:

These boots are really made for walking! I swear! I heard from Therese that the original price is Php 3000!!! And I got for only.. see below for a surprise..

These babies are Php 500 each! Yup, believe it! And they're both made in Italy so they're suppose to be of great quality. I am just super duper happy!

Anyway, here we are shopping:

Therese fitting hers

And while she's still choosing, I already paid mine..Ha-ha!

On the other hand, these are made for shopping! I wore these the whole day! I've had these for a year now and I just discovered how comfy they are!

I will soon check their Ayala Cebu Branch if they have pairs in my size and I will update you soon. In the meantime, go to the nearest ATM and start shopping!!! xxx

I Cried..

And it's because of this video. I cry when I witness pure talent, especially in music, which is why American Idol's a major tearjerker for me. I may be bias but I personally think that real musicians are geniuses. And whenever I see one perform, it gives me hope and leaves me in awe and in tears. This video is IT. I wish I could've written this song and I wish I could be half as good as these 2, Pink and Nate Ruess.

GO WATCH

If the link above isn't working, go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnm8N9-H8qM

Anyway, here's the lyrics of the song:

"Just Give Me A Reason"
(feat. Nate Ruess)

Right from the start
You were a thief
You stole my heart
And I your willing victim
I let you see the parts of me
That weren't all that pretty
And with every touch you fixed them
Now you've been talking in your sleep oh oh
Things you never say to me oh oh
Tell me that you've had enough
Of our love, our love

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
We're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

I'm sorry I don't understand
Where all of this is coming from
I thought that we were fine
(Oh we had everything)
Your head is running wild again
My dear we still have everythin'
And it's all in your mind
(Yeah but this is happenin')
You've been havin' real bad dreams oh oh
You used to lie so close to me oh oh
There's nothing more than empty sheets
Between our love, our love
Oh our love, our love

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
I never stopped
You're still written in the scars on my heart
You're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Oh tear ducts and rust
I'll fix it for us
We're collecting dust
But our love's enough
You're holding it in
You're pouring a drink
No nothing is as bad as it seems
We'll come clean

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
That we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Just give me a reason
Just a little bit's enough
Just a second we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
It's in the stars
It's been written in the scars on our hearts
That we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again
Oh, we can learn to love again
Oh, we can learn to love again
Oh oh, that we're not broken just bent
And we can learn to love again

Isn't the lyrics so real and unpretentious? as in WOW! Anyway, I thought I'd share my pic making music. MUSIC ROCKS!!!

What's Wrong With This Picture?

I read http://www.darlasauler.com/ (if you're celeb-crazy you'd really love this blog) and found this picture from the recent PMPC Star Awards For TV. What's wrong with it?

Although all 3 of them are probably equally famous, it looks to me like Mark Herras and Aljur Abrenica are fans of Gerald Anderson, both happy to have a photo op with him. I don't know, what do you think?

Trending at # 7!!! OMG!

My, oh my!!! I am the 7th trending user right now in WIWT! This is my highest rank so far! Super duper happy! The page is here!

Past Is Past..

But it's fun remembering what happened. Which is why I posted my 2008 blogs from my Livejournal account (which I will close soon). I mostly just wrote about my boyfriend at that time. Man.. Wow.. I mean, I can't even remember writing that much about him! Ha-ha! I'm not yet done though but I'll finish it tonight.

So if you're curious, start from here and prepare to puke! That's how corny and "high" I was! hahahhaha!

Death

I knew it's inevitable even when I was as young as 10. Then, I used to imagine my parents and siblings being gone, and I would cry myself to sleep. I thought of it as like practice so that if it will happen, it wouldn't be as painful. I probably thought of every way a person could possibly die but I didn't think of murder at all. I never thought that one of my family would and could be murdered. 'Til this day, I still find it hard to believe that my father was - it's just way beyond everything worst in this world. I realize that sometimes things aren't exactly what you always imagined - they're even worse.

When I was in college, and my parents are in their 50s, I knew that death's coming. And I would imagine myself crying on the phone, telling my friends and my boyfriend at that time (I thought we'd end up in marriage- as always), and vice versa. I was afraid that it will come.

And then it came. It started when my dear friend Brenda Espinosa died. And then some of my colleagues lost their parents. And then there's my father's murder. And recently, my dear friend and mother of one of my closest friends in the world, Cita Malanog, died. It's sad.

So this is it. This is what I've been always been afraid of all my life. Death, it's here. I hope I'm strong enough for it.

Trending Again At # 9!

I'm just super happy! Yahoo!!!

See link here.. Right now! Ha-ha! Thanks!

Oh, and apparently my bad luck isn't over yet because I was late this morning. I thought I left my ID at home and our company guards wouldn't let me in (kudos to them for doing their job!) only to find out that I left it in the packet of my office jacket. Boo! I can't wait for this week to be over!

Peeps, meet my younger brothers Kab and Mamash! Aren't they so NOT cute? Ha-ha!

I LOVE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH! xxx

W.W. (Worst Week)

Definitely worst week of the month. Aside from what happened the other day (which made me sad yesterday), this morning I left my phone in the taxi. I'm talking about the phone I bought a month ago (see here for the photo).

And then, just few minutes ago, I received an email from our QA, that I had 2 "fatal" errors in just 1 call. WOW!

Can this week be anymore goddamn worst?

Being a Shoe Whore (Tips and Stuff)

*This was first published on Monday, July 2, 2012 at 12:23pm in my Facebook blog*

So, ok, I LOVE SHOES, well footwear in general actually! Not to brag, (this might be the first time I reveal this), I have 131 (that time I wrote this) pairs already! I know most of you guys probably only have a quarter of what I have but to be honest I thought I had more. For years, I have refused to count how many pairs I have in fear of feeling guilty. I mean, you know, WE ARE A POOR COUNTRY. And then there’s Zimbabwe, Africa, Somalia, etc. Who can blame me? But in that fateful day of March this year, where I had an extra Php1500 in my wallet, I decided to count all of them, to help me decide if I was going to buy this pair:

It’s black, it’s shiny, it’s wedge-type. IT IS SO NOW! So after that I-realize-I-don’t-have-that-many-shoes moment, I rode a jeepney to SM. And voila, I am now a proud owner!

When I plan to buy shoes (which is every payday! Ü), I consider the following:

    Style.
As a proud dwarf (hi bbgurl, t dee,  florie, andi, fino, cher, fino!), my legs are just an inch long. So I stay away from those rounded toe ones (except when the heel-height is above 4”). I’d choose something that would elongate my legs, like the pointed and open-toed ones. I seldom buy the strappy ones because it’d take me time to wear them. What with all the knotting, and tying, and fastening. But you want to know a secret? The strappy ones are actually the most comfortable! Why? Those “hasol” straps provide support. Unlike the Pumps, which don’t have support whatsoever but which I super adore.
Here are some of my peep-toed and strappy pairs:

    Comfort.
Most people, especially the normal ones, would go for comfort first, and then style. I’m not a normal person obviously. Well, there should be a balance, you know. Like if there’s a really pretty pair, and it’s a little uncomfortable, I’d buy it. Hmmm... Now that I’m actually writing it, it doesn’t seem balanced.  Yeah, whatevs, I call it “balance”. Anyway, after a whole day’s work in that little uncomfortable footwear, there’s always a spa open for a foot massage, right?

    Fit/Size.
Just like clothes, it’s important for me to actually be able to fit the shoes before buying it. That’s why I seldom catalogue-shop, but still I do and I don’t get lucky sometimes. I’ve given quite a number of pairs because of that. At least I make some people happy.

Now, there are 2 specific types of shoes that need to have specific fit:
    *High-Heeled Pumps – a size or half-a-size smaller.
*Running Shoes – a size of half-a-size bigger, depending on your socks preference.

    Color.
For me, Black is the way to go, especially those which are on trend. I’m not crazy over trends but whenever I buy a pair, it’d have to be black. It makes a trendy shoe look classic so I don’t only have to wear them when they’re “uso”. This, actually, is how my shoe collection grows. Because if I find something really pretty in black, I’ll look for another color and buy it as well! Ha-ha!

On the other hand, for classic Pumps, I like to be adventurous and go for colors. .  It adds oomph to a classic pair. One of my most prized pumps is this really fierce “native Mat” pair from Prince Warehouse (that pair with the arrow below). I bought it for only Php179!

    colorful classic pumps

    trendy blacks
Haaayyy.. I wish I have all the money in the world so that I can buy all the shoes I want. You know, if that’ll happen, I’ll probably build a mansion just for them! Ha-ha! Hmmm... But it will never happen. Coz I wouldn’t be able to save enough for even a hut – I would spend my extra dough to buy more and more shoes! ‘Till next time! xxx

    Hatred Is What I Hate

Obviously I'm not referring to the i-hate-my-nailbeds hate. Ü

Someone told me that she sometimes spends her time plotting revenge on people who hurt her and it would make her feel good afterwards even if she wouldn't do it. Another person told me that just by hearing the person she hates make her feel bad, and making the rest of her day bad.

Isn't it such a waste of time and everything? Especially if the person you're hating doesn't hate you back? Unrequited hate familiar?

I have a theory that hatred is the result of not being able to express pain. Like when someone hurts you and you're not able to tell that person, and that person keeps on doing it, so in the process you keep on hurting too, and then you begin to hate. Am I right?

Hatred is heavy and my heart can't handle it. It's like it (my heart) has a mind of its own and it just ignores it, like it's in its auto-delete list. I get mad and hurt almost easily though and whenever that happens, I tell that person right away, if it's worth it. If it's not, I just go eat a cake (or two). Or I write about it.

We can't turn back time - let's not spend it hating. Unless you guys want to be wrinkly and old.. Ü

Do you guys hate? Go tell, go comment!

    Blue Suede Shoes

Ahhh.. My blue suede shoes..I fell in love the first time I saw it 15 days ago but because of its heel height (it's 6.5 inches - my friend Therese Cañete said it's a threat to my life!), I decided not to buy it. But I've been constantly thinking about it since then - I NEED IT IN MY LIFE! So, you what happens next and now im a proud owner of this pretty, pretty pair! ohhh.. I'm in love.. I'm happy.. I'm going crazy! Ha-ha!

from Sole Desire USA (distributed by People R People) - Php 1,499 - It's very affordable!

See? I love it so much that I wear it even while lying on my bed, watching tv, in my PJs! Which brings me to a thought - God must've had a great laugh last night while watching me! What a shame! Ha-ha!

I LOVE MY SHOES! I'm thinking of buying it in cream and green. Hhmmm.. What do you think? xxx

    Sotanghon Ala Xinalia (yikes!)

Did I just name a recipe after myself? Narcissistic much? EW!

Ok. So don't mind the presentation. I know, I should've probably put parsley or maybe fern (if it's the only available green crap) to make it attractive. yeah.. So it's one of those days when I feel adventurous in my little kitchen - I just put whatever's in my fridge. Believe me, this tastes superb! What? I love my cooking! Ha-ha!

    Here are its ingredients:
    Vermicelli Noodles
    Mechado Sauce
    Tuna Flakes In Oil
    Mayonnaise
    Corned Beef
    Salt
    LOTS OF PEPPER

I just estimated the amount of each ingredient. This is up to 2 servings, even for a big-eater like me. xxx

    Trending at #9!

    YAHOO!! I'm trending again! I'm # 9 this time:
    This is the link: http://wiwt.com/users/

    Lame Bitch

Can I be a totally lame bitch today and complain about the silliest and shallowest things? The killer insecurity seldom attacks me, like once or twice a year, and today's one of those days. So here it goes:

I don't like my hair. My natural hair's wavy. I wish it would've been stick-straight or really curly. I hate that I have to spend a lot to have it straightened. My colleague Mirasol has really nice hair and I wish mine's like hers.

I hate that my nails are weak. I'm dying to have French Manicure but I can't because I can't grow my nails.

I want to have a hairless body but I love my thick eyebrows.

I wish I have bigger feet. I'm size 4-5. I wish I'm size 6. Then I could have more shoes!

If only I could stop my appetite..

I wish I have an innocent face. Although I don't find myself ugly, but my face is funny. Especially when I laugh! Ha-ha!

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO POSE. It would've been very useful for my WIWT pics  if I do. I mean, look at my pics! It's either that I don't smile at all or I just make funny faces. Or worst, this:
I know.. These are nothing compared to those who still don't have food for their next meal but still.. oh well.. xxx

    First Dates From Hell

I've been watching The Hills (remember the MTV drama?) and on Season 3, Lauren dated a guy who blabbed about out-of-this-world-crazy-but-harmless things during their first date because he's so into her. Lauren was so grossed out, she didn't go on to see him for a second date.

    Bad move, I say.

    *I just googled this photo*
I mean, if a guy talks a lot about his ex-girlfriend or about murder then it's ok to walk away but if he just talks about buying his shirt from a bargain store and not being able to forget you after your date in a non-freaky way then I say, give the guy a chance. Not that I'm settling for something less or that I want you to, but isn't it normal to not act normal when we're around someone we really like? Like all the bad-vibe gods are conniving to make us deaf, dumb, and in my case, clumsier? You know what I mean?

Before I found love (hi Bab!), I used to date a lot. I mean, my friends loooove to set me up with their friends or their boyfriend's friends and most of the time I just went along coz it's fun but believe me, I've had first dates from hell. One of them's with one of my exbfs - man, it was one of the worst! He was sweating all over, he was fidgeting, and was talking about how they disect animals (he's a med student) while we're having dinner and it was so gross, I didn't finish my food. That night, he texted and literally begged me to give him another chance. So I did, but I told me to not talk about eeewy stuff while we're eating. The second date was beyond great and I got to know him better and he turned out to be one of the nicest people on earth. Well, we eventually broke up but still, I wouldn't have known how great he is if I didn't give him a second chance..

So, say yes to second dates! Give chance! Some relationships from heaven actually come from first dates from hell. xxx
