What I Wore Last Week

A shout out to all my colleagues! A very special one goes out to the team where I belong – TEAM HIYAK!

I rarely follow trends. Like really rarely and I've written before that my reason's that most trends don't suit me anyway. I am a short, chubby woman. Unfortunately, these days, it seems like when designers do their creation, they only have the tall, skinny models in mind. It's sad but that's life and I have to deal with it since I love clothes. It's very important that I know myself, I know what I want, and I know what makes me happy. Anyway, the thing about following trends is that you end up looking like everybody else, I don't like that. It's like losing myself. I am not trying to be unique because I am unique. WE ALL ARE.

So, I love unique pieces which makes me such a huge fan of flea market (ukay-ukay, anyone?). And this week (errr..except the first outfit) I pay homage to this one place I run to when budget's low and the shopping-ache is super high. Here are my outfits for this week:

Darkness

One year ago today, around this time, my father was brutally murdered. I remember him everyday, how he lived his life. Well, I guess today's the day I remember how he died. I've accepted it but I haven't gotten over it. There's NO getting over it. No amount of pain can ever equal to what I and my family felt when he was killed. He was our rock. HE WAS THE BEST.

I MISS HIM SO MUCH.

Let's continue to pray for justice. It will be served, in God's time..

Smoky, Smokin'

I swear, titling (is this even a word?) a blog entry is hard and I remember one time in Multiply (I used to blog there until they closed it) another blogger complimented my titles. Apparently I'm good at it and it really made my day! It's equivalent to being told I'm pretty! Whatevs - it's hard!

Anyway, while I'm super crazy over lipsticks (I can't get enough of them!), I'm not fond of make-up in general. I use blusher and lipstick and that's it. I don't wear foundation because I think it hinders me to laugh. Rarely though, I wear eyeliner with my nude lipsticks.

I love the smoky winged-eye look and God knows how many times I've practiced how to do it but wasn't at all successful. One time, I forgot to wash my face and was surprised to see myself like this after I bathed the next morning:

Ha-ha! But guess what, I was finally successful this morning (sans the mascara, eyelash curler, and all the other eye stuff because I don't own any):

What I did was I put tons of eyeliner on my upper and lower lids, then I softly dabbed the upper lid using my fingers, and then I used cotton buds to erase the line on my inner lids to further achieve the illusion.

So I guess now you see how little I know about make-up which would make you think, "why would I listen to her?" Ha-ha! xxx

Cheating - WHY?

Saturday, 10/13/2012, my colleagues Lovelyn Sabanal-Sala and Michelle Rendon, and I, talked about cheating husbands and wives.

Even Good Men Cheat
It's true. I mean, I know someone who did, and yes he is a good man. He is someone I really look up to. He cheated.
Even Women Cheat
It's true. It's crazy.

So, is this something we should just accept because it's the norm? Aren't we suppose to correct this?

I am afraid to be married. I am afraid that I might end up with someone who will treat me and our children like trash, who will make me and our children feel unimportant, unloved, and unworthy, who will disrespect me and our children. I hear married couples calling each other names, I hate it. Some shout at each other because of money. I see married men at the mall flirting with cute ladies even when they're hand in hand with their spouses  - a blatant disrespect. And then there's battery.

I saw these, and now I see so much more. Cheating is worst and it seemed like everybody cheats these days. And my question is, WHY? xxx

Clothing Plan

So here it is. This is what it looks like. This is my clothing plan:

It saves time especially in the morning when my shift starts at 4am and it keeps my closet neat. This is something very important to me because I care about looking pleasant. It makes me happy. Although, there are days when I'm really super drab and I don't care. So, what will I wear tomorrow???

Ranting Result

First of all, WHY DO I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO EXPLAIN THIS? Ü

Yeah, so after my rant about not loving pink (http://xinalia.blogspot.com/2012/09/knowing-me-knowing-you.html), I bought this yesterday:

My reason is, the other available color's Black, and my other phone's black. And, c'mon, isn't it pretty? And it's cheap too at Php 4,850! I'm one of those who don't spend much on technology, especially on phones. My most expensive buy was Php 18,000 and my friend literally almost died convincing me to buy it! So yeah, there..

Hats Galore!

So, you guys will be amazed at how creative my colleagues are! Last week we had hat-making contest and here are the winners, and our group's one of them! YAHOO!!! I wasn't able to take pics of the other entries but they're awesome as well! Sorry for the losers, but happy to be one of the winners! Below are pics of the winners..

Awesome Weekend!

I had an awesome weekend, thanks to my brothers, cousin, and Kab's colleague. Here are some pics I took (description below the pic):

 our table at Maxwell Hotel Escario - i drank hot tea, water.. then I had warm brownie fudge..then chicken wings, then sisig..hahay..Our bill reached Php2000+ and there was overflowing beer so i think the place isn't pricey..plus the waitresses are nice, the musicians are nicer!
